Marybeth Jacobsen

President

Marybeth Jacobsen earned her secondary education teaching certificate before enrolling in the University of Illinois College of Law. Ms. Jacobsen practiced law in Illinois and California for nearly twenty years. She joined the Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce in 2010 as Director of Government Relations and Economic Development. The WEC grew out of the Simi Valley Chamber’s economic development programs. Ms. Jacobsen has been active in the community in numerous positions including Chair of the successful $145 million Simi Valley Measure C-4 School Bond campaign.

 

Mairelise Robinson

Director of Operations

Born and raised in Simi Valley, Mairelise Robinson graduated from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) in 2015 with two degrees in International Studies and Public Policy. For the past several years she has been active in local, regional, and national politics. Namely, Ms. Robinson has spent time in the offices of House Foreign Affairs Committee Chair, Representative Edward R. Royce in Washington D.C., the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG), and multiple Ventura County district offices and campaigns. Upon the completion of her degrees at UCSD, Ms. Robinson returned to Ventura County with a drive to make a difference in her community outside of government, thus beginning her shift into the non-profit sector.

 
 

Amy Kearney

Web Design Intern - Amy is a current management and marketing graduate student with her BA in computer science.  She created the template and color scheme for the WEC website and is the inspiration behind what you see today.

 

Jacob Smith

Graphic Designer - Jake received his certificate in graphic design from Moorpark College in 2017.  He helped recreate the WEC logo, program flyers, brochures, and event programs.
