The Workforce Education Coalition (“WEC”) connects students and teachers to the business community to help build a regional skilled workforce. Students and teachers “walk the plant floor” with business leaders to see, first hand, what job opportunities await the next generation of workers and what skills are required to succeed in the workplace.

The WEC Teacher Programs reconnect middle and high school educators with community businesses to help make classroom education more relevant to the training of skilled workers.
The WEC Student Programs bring students into contact with employers and workplaces to offer them the opportunity to learn what it’s like to work in their fields of interest.
The WEC partners with the business community to communicate employer needs to educators and help establish a workforce pipeline.
